Tumblr Theme Instructions

Here is the general instruction on how to us my Tumblr themes.

You can use the theme on your Tumblr blog for free I only require two things:

  1. You MUST keep the theme credit in the footer.
  2. Please let me know if you are using it so I can check it out.

NOTE: All the images, fonts, javascripts, etc for this theme are hosted by me. If you want to host the these yourself you will need to download the zip file and follow the instructions included. Also you are able to add custom css but it’s not advised, the themes depends on the correct placement of things. If you use custom css stick to changing colors or fonts. Some themes allow you to change the colors in the Appearance section. Do not edit the code unless you know what you are doing, it can mess up how the theme is displayed. If you need any help please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Open the theme.html file in a text editor like Notepad, do not use a web browser.

Go to your Tumblr dashboard and click on the Customize Theme in the dash sidebar.

This will take you to where you can customize your blog. To the left you will have an area that you use to edit the look and some content of your blog.

You then click on the Edit HTML button which will take you to the HTML code.

Select all the code and replace it with the code from the theme html in the download.

You can then click on the  Update Preview to view the changes. Then click on the Appearance button  to go back to the customization area..

Each theme has different options available under the APPEARANCE section. You can change those setting to what you like.

Once you are done changing the settings you can then click on SAVE and then CLOSE  to view your blog with your new theme. MAKE SURE YOU CLICK ON SAVE FIRST OR ELSE YOUR THEME WILL NOT BE SAVED.

PLEASE make sure you let me know that you are using my theme, by either commenting on the theme page or by using my contact form.
